Every wine lover’s thinks thats its his/her pride to have great knowledge of wine. Its always interesting to share wine stories and knowledge of wine or having wine conversation while enjoying bottle of wine with friends & family. Don’t ever find yourself without premium wine knowledge and to get this knowledge here are some great important facts for sharing :
- In 70’s Australia developed wine in a box. And That Wine is stored in bladder inside the box which is completely air tight. Due to which storage time of wine increases for few weeks instead of few days.
- If we ferment the Dry Wine completely , its 60% of sugar will be converted to alcohol and the left 40% converted to the Carbon-Di-oxide.
- For tasting a grapey wine, go to try a Manischewitz. Manischewitz is a sweet style of kosher wine from the American Concord grape. These American Concord grape are the same which are used to make jelly and juice.
- California’s first Commissioner of Agriculture brought cuttings from France to California, in 1880 and later in 1889, his first wine won top honors which he sent from his vines to the Gran Prix in Paris.
- Never go with the price of wine when u think about quality as their are many factors which effect the wine’s price.
- During the fermentation process of grapes, the grape skins will rise and form a CAP to the top of fermenting must, which needs to be broken and used to mix back to the fermenting must. The highly and big tannic wines are those when more extract are forced from the grape skins.
- When we absorb food and wine together they formed a synergy and a third flavour is made which is different from food and wine, when absorbed separately.
- We used to pronounce “guh-VURTS-trah-mee-ner” to the German Gewurztraminer which is much similar to the White Zinfandel. And it is used to say that if one like White Zinfandel he surely likes German Gewurtztraminer. It is a fragrant white wine with a bit of sweetness.
- Most of us thought that When we oxidize the wine it turns to vinegar. But actually wine takes a natty flavour. It is due to pasteurization due to which wine very rarely turns to vinegar.
